The University of the Peloponnese,like all the other Universities in the country, according to Article 1 of Law 1268/82,has the following functions:

• To produce and to disseminate knowledge through research and teaching, and to cultivate the arts
• To contribute in forming responsible people with scientific social,cultural and political awareness and
• To provide students with all the necessary skills that will ensure their even training for their scientific and professional careers to a rapidly changing scientific and working international environment.
