Invitation to participate in the 8th Advanced School on Service-Oriented Computing, June 30 - July 5 2014 in Crete Greece!

The 8th Advanced Summer School on Service Oriented Computing (SummerSOCʼ14) continues a successful series of summer schools that started in 2007.  The school regularly attracts world-class experts in Service Oriented Computing to present tutorials and state-of-the-art research during a week-long program organized in four thematic tracks:

Formal Methods for SOC
Computing in the Clouds
Elasticity in the Clouds
Emerging Topics

The Advanced Summer School is regularly attended by graduate students from programs with international acclaim, such as the Erasmus Mundus International Master in Service Engineering (IMSE).  In addition to the four thematic tracks, a special session is organized for PhD candidates giving them a chance to present their thesis and receive feedback from academic and industry experts. The school includes presentations from various EU projects on Software & Service Architectures and Infrastructures (SSAI). The program includes a Saturday visit to the archaeological sites of Knossos and Archaelogical Museum of Heraklion, and social events (visit to a traditional Cretan village, etc.) to promote networking between participants.

Graduate students can take the Advanced School as a graduate-level course for credit (3 ECTS units). The course credits are recognized by several Universities; interested students can contact us to inquire whether the Advanced School on Service-Oriented Computing is recognized by their University.

The school will take place in Crete, Greece, from June 30 to July 5, 2014.
